The American government’s report this year shows the successes in the fight against human trafficking, but also the challenges it faces. The Global Slavery Index 2016
“In a few areas, the need for courageous and dedicated leaders is as necessary as in the field of modern slavery,” says Founder and Chairman of the Walk Free Foundation, Andrew Forrest. In this annual report, Walk Free, with the support of the Gallup Institute, has researched the actual number of modern slaves. The number is staggering: 45.8 million people are estimated to be victims of modern slavery. A well-researched report that gives an overview of the situation in different countries.
